My aim while creating music

Why do we need art to be present in our life? And how we define art?

Being bombarded for 24/7 by a constant kaleidoscope of images, slogans and sounds, our brain becomes deaf for the new experience and it’s not so easy anymore to impress us. However, we want to be impressed. We want to experience new thrilling feelings. And as our creation evokes such feelings in others, at that very moment it turns to a piece of art, to a successful project wich stands out. Being touched, feeling addressed makes a difference.

I´m sure that everything we create should reach the listener/viewer/reader on an emotional level. Otherwise our unsuccessful attempt will simply drown in a sea full of similar projects. And that´s why my goal while composing music – whether it´s an epic orchestral soundtrack or a 30-second intro – is to build this connection with a listener. To make a listener feel. Feel love, fear, pain, sorrow, euphoria or curiosity – according to a task, plan, a general idea. The main aim is to leave a trace, so a listener could remember this experience.

Music is not just a support for the visuals or the story. It can create the story itself. It can paint already existing story with its own colours, saturate the mood or smoothen the thrilling moments. Soundtrack is one of the main pillars the successful media product is based on. And original music created exclusively and authentically for the specific purpose – for your end product, for your project - leaves its trace in the hearts of the beholder. This trace must be associated with your product only and be unique and recognisable part of the common experience you’re offering to your viewer. That's why reusable impersonalized stock music will never reach the level of impact an exclusive soundtrack will have.
